I took a leadership role a few months into the world Covid19 pandemic; I don't know leadership outside of Covid times! A high-level view of my general duties as the Team Lead are;
- overseeing program access and development
- developing policies and procedures for staff
-directly supervising staff from a variety of disciplines (LPNs, admin staff, Mental Health Clinicians, Physicians, Pre/Post Natal specialists).
- oversee and manage the YHC budget.
- hiring and staff mentoring/coaching
- supporting in quality improvement initiatives
- liaison with external agencies
Initially, I explored this role because my case management job was largely outreach; outreach was the first thing to get cut during Covid. Now, I have fallen in love with leadership and have enrolled in a second master's degree focusing on just that!
